Workday Financials Engineer

Are you an experienced Senior Integration Engineer with deep expertise in Workday integrations, iPaaS platforms, and enterprise system architecture?

This role offers the opportunity to design, build and scale integrations across a complex enterprise technology ecosystem. You’ll combine hands‑on development with solution design, working primarily with Workday Financials while contributing to broader integration architecture across multiple business systems. The position is well suited to someone who enjoys ownership, technical depth and growing toward architectural leadership.

About the role

You will be responsible for designing and delivering robust, scalable integrations centered around Workday Financials and an enterprise iPaaS platform. Working closely with finance, legal, operations and technology stakeholders, you’ll help evolve integration patterns, improve automation, and ensure reliable data flow across systems. The role blends detailed technical execution with higher‑level solution design and long‑term scalability planning.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop and implement integrations within Workday Financials using Studio, EIB, core connectors and APIs
• Build and maintain integrations using Workday‑native tools and frameworks
• Develop and maintain XSLT transformations for complex data mapping
• Configure and optimise SOAP and REST services for seamless system communication
• Create and maintain custom reports and dashboards using BIRT
• Troubleshoot, enhance and scale existing Workday integrations
• Design and implement integrations between Workday and other enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, CLM and project management tools
• Contribute to integration architecture and reusable components using an iPaaS platform
• Apply best‑practice patterns for error handling, monitoring and maintainability
• Explore opportunities to use AI within integrations to improve efficiency and decision‑making

What we’re looking for

Experience

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Workday integrations and implementations
• Experience designing integrations across enterprise systems
• Background contributing to or shaping integration architecture
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business, finance or a related field, or equivalent experience

Skills

• Strong expertise with Workday integration tools including Studio, EIB, connectors and APIs
• Proficiency in XSLT, XML and data transformation techniques
• Experience with SOAP and REST‑based web services
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver reliable solutions

Nice to have

• Experience with iPaaS platforms such as Boomi, MuleSoft, Workato or Informatica
• Understanding of enterprise automation opportunities
• Experience or interest in incorporating AI into workflows and integrations
• Workday Integration certification
• Proven ability to deliver high‑quality solutions with minimal oversight
