Are you an experienced web developer looking for your next challenge?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fully funded, fast-growing game studio based in Stockholm. They are an ambitious and creative team, currently developing an innovative cooperative heist FPS in a techno-thriller setting.

As a web developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining websites and e-commerce solutions, ensuring they are fast, scalable, and user-friendly. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working across different areas when needed. You’ll collaborate closely with designers and marketers to create engaging, high-performance web experiences.

What you’ll be working on

• Maintaining and improving existing websites and e-commerce solutions
• Developing new websites to support projects and business needs
• Optimising performance, responsiveness, and scalability
• Collaborating with UI/UX designers to create intuitive user experiences
• Ensuring security best practices are followed
• Staying up to date with modern web technologies and contributing to the evolving tech stack

What they would like to see

• 3+ years of experience in modern web development
• Proficiency in Next.js, TypeScript, or similar frontend frameworks and languages
• Experience with Sanity CMS or similar headless CMS solutions
• Familiarity with Vercel or similar hosting and deployment platforms
• Strong understanding of UI/UX and web performance optimisation
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
• Experience with version control and collaboration tools

Nice to have

• Experience in the gaming industry or game-related web services
• Interest or experience working closely with a marketing team
• Familiarity with backend technologies and API integrations
• Knowledge of analytics, A/B testing, and conversion rate optimisation for e-commerce
• Experience with Shopify, mParticle, Emarsys, or similar solutions
