Our client is looking for a talented and self-motivated VFX Artist to join the team making the next world-class RPG. The role comes with a generous salary and benefits. This position requires the ability to work onsite or in a hybrid capacity at the company's office in Irvine, CA.

As a VFX Artist, you will conceptualize, present, and execute ideas within a schedule, while participating in technical and artistic problem-solving.

In your first few weeks in this VFX Artist role, you can expect to:

  • Create all aspects of in-game VFX including character, weapon, environment, and destructive events
  • Work closely with art leads to ensure the visual targets are met and stylistically consistent
  • Communicate with artists, designers, and programmers to work through artistic and technical endeavors
  • Evaluate and initiate processes and features needed to improve and streamline production.

To apply for this VFX Artist role, you will need experience with real-time particle editing in Unreal Niagara and fluent knowledge in a 3D content creation package (Maya, 3ds Max, etc.) and a mastery of Photoshop or a comparable program. You will also require the following:

  • Dynamic VFX Materials creation experience on Unreal 4, Unreal 5
  • Knowledge of blueprint creation in Unreal 4 and Unreal 4 plus animation experience
  • Environment art experience and knowledge of texture creation through Substance 3D Designer
  • Experience with effects in Houdini.
