Skillsearch is working with a client looking for a remote, full-time Senior Software Engineer, and the role comes with a salary of up to $70,000 per year. 

In this embedded software engineer role, you will help design and implement multiplayer Netcode in an upcoming game. You will play an instrumental role in helping shape an exciting experience by working on networking, gameplay, and tools work 

To give you an idea of how the job will look and feel if you were currently working for us, these are some things you would have been tackling this week: 

  • Implementing online multiplayer and design server stack architecture 
  • Creating engine tools in Unity through editor scripting 
  • Working on a fighting game or beat 'em up game 

To apply for this Software Engineer role, you will need a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience. You will also require: 

  • Proficiency in Unity and C#, along with the ability to implement online multiplayer and design server stack architecture 
  • Familiarity with client/server integration through REST, Sockets, Photon, Mirror, etc 
  • Knowledge of design patterns and software engineering best practices (essential)
