Skillsearch is helping a Scotland-based company find a full-time Unity Developer to join their creative and collaborative development team. The Unity Developer role comes with a generous salary and flexible working hours, helping to build the world’s first VR learning platform for adult health and social care. 

As a Unity Developer, you will help shape and deliver the company's VR learning/training and assessment simulations. They are a new tech start-up developing innovative Virtual Reality simulations. 

During your first few weeks in this Unity Developer role, you can expect to: 

  • Support the Lead Developer and take ownership of the technical direction of your projects, implementing innovative, suitable and scalable technical solutions 
  • Validate the technical feasibility of simulation concepts and define the technical approach accordingly 
  • Work with the Digital Product Manager and Lead Developer to set internal standards for writing efficient, robust and reusable code and ensure junior developers follow these standards 
  • Communicate effectively with clients, advocate technical approaches and ensure client confidence in our client 

We are looking for a passionate, entrepreneurial developer with a keen interest in VR technologies and experience in VR training simulation development. You must be able to think big to execute your vision and excel in ambiguity. You will be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and willing to work cross-functionally in leading and executing product delivery plans at scale. This role would suit somebody with good solid VR development experience and who wants the excitement and pace of a start-up. 

In return for your knowledge and expertise, you will receive a favourable salary of £30,000 - £35,000 and a benefits package that includes:

  • Highly flexible approach to working, and we operate flexible working hours so you can do “the school run” or shorter / longer days to suit your needs
