Do you have experience working in the gaming industry and extensive knowledge of C++? Skillsearch is looking for a UI/UX Programmer in Stockholm. This is a full-time role that comes with a great salary and benefits package. 

As a UI/UX Programmer, you will join an Online/Frontend team and be responsible for the user interface and user experience. You will work with Game Directors, Backend Programmers, Artists and UX Designers to regularly evaluate games to determine the best ways to build communication layers between systems. 

To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do: 

  • Help design and implement multiple game systems 
  • Create the underlying structural links between the UI and backend systems, client APIs, state management and localisation 
  • Problem-solve, propose solutions and collaborate closely with team members 
  • Share your knowledge and skills with the team and be open to mentoring others. 

To succeed in this role, you should have professional experience in the video games industry or other relevant industries together with good knowledge of writing C++ in a structured, robust and performant way. You will also need: 

  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work in teams and communicate with designers and artists 
  • Experience in Unreal Engine and Slate/UMG 
  • Experience structuring UI applications, common architectural models and practices in UX/UI 
  • Experience writing game UI code. 

In return for your collaborative approach and commitment, you will receive a salary of up to €50,000 and an excellent benefits package, joining a friendly and inclusive culture.
