If you're a skilled and collaborative UI Artist seeking a remote and flexible role in the gaming industry, Skillsearch wants to hear from you. We have a full-time UI Artist position available with a welcoming Art & Level Design team in Truro.
As a UI Artist, you will be responsible for creating game UI compliant with the game design, both technically and aesthetically. You will work with the Art, Code and Design to establish and maintain core UI documents, concepts and implementation.
To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some things you could expect to do:
- Design, create and export 2D textures and icons using Illustrator and Photoshop
- Create, animate and export working interface files for use in the game
- Work with the art teams to ensure consistency between vision and implementation of interface designs
- Contribute and communicate original ideas towards all aspects of the UI design
The ideal candidate will demonstrate previous experience within this discipline, a keen eye for detail and eagerness to take point and ownership for pushing the quality bar. You will also need:
- Solid experience creating game front-end systems design and functionality
- Core understanding of good graphics, iconography and typography
- Experience creating UI in an Unreal project
- Comprehensive understanding of good UX and UI
