A little bit about the city: Winchester
Topping the list of the best places to live in the UK in 2016, Winchester is a small city with an incredible cathedral and much more. As the former capital of England, this city is brimming with history and culture and is a great place to live and work in. Despite being a busy little city with heaps of character, Winchester is right on the edge of the South Downs, meaning that rural life is only minutes away if you fancy escaping the city life for a moment of countryside peace.
Winchester Cathedral is certainly what the city is famous for, it is one of the largest cathedrals in Europe and as a Grade I listed building, is home to many historical and treasured artefacts. The stunning building hosts a variety of events throughout the year from concerts, theatre and an amazing market and ice rink at Christmas time. Winchester is a short 45-minute train journey away from London and is very close to the major cities of Portsmouth and Southampton. As for getting around the city itself, the most efficient way is on foot as the compact city centre is very pedestrian friendly, however Winchester also offers a widespread bus service (also extending to surrounding towns) and an excellent bicycle subscription scheme making borrowing a bike in the city extremely easy and cost effective.
Years of experience and salary levels are shown purely as a guide. We will only consider applications from candidates that can demonstrate the skills or experience required for the role.
Whilst we would love to respond to every application due to the high numbers we receive we cannot guarantee this.
