The Technical Director will be responsible for all technical implementation details of the game, both front- and back-end.
In your first few weeks in this Technical Director role, you can expect to:
- Work with the design, production and art teams to create a working prototype based on the core mechanics and art style of the game while building up an internal team for full production
- Work closely with the client and server leads to ensure AAA-level quality in terms of visuals, performance, user experience, scalability, and live-operations aspects
- Recruit, manage and mentor developers in the team
- Review technical design specifications
To apply for this Technical Director role, you will need at least 8 years of experience in game development technology, of which:
- At least 4 years' experience on Unreal Engine 4 (or 5) working on a variety of different systems
- Shipped at least 2 high-quality large-scale multiplayer games in a capacity as Lead Programmer or Technical Director
- Extensive experience with 3D game development, including graphics, AI, physics, multiplayer, tools/pipelines, linear algebra
- Knowledge of Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solutions, NFTs and blockchain
