Technical Director

Are you an experienced Technical Director with a passion for leading high-performing teams and shaping long-term technical strategies?

This role offers the opportunity to drive innovation at the intersection of creative content, advanced tools, and cutting-edge real-time technology. You will be responsible for setting the technical direction, overseeing organisational design, and ensuring delivery excellence across engineering teams, enabling scalable and impactful content creation.

What you'll be doing:

• Owning the technical strategy for tools engineering and content creation, ensuring alignment with long-term company goals
• Leading Unreal Engine–based development of tools, UI systems, and content pipelines for both internal and external solutions
• Designing and evolving organisational structures, workflows, and engineering standards to support growth and delivery excellence
• Mentoring senior engineers while driving recruitment and team development with a focus on technical capability and cultural fit
• Collaborating with cross-functional leadership to align product vision, technical capabilities, and delivery timelines
• Engaging with developer and XR communities to stay ahead of industry trends, supporting innovation and knowledge sharing

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience as a Technical Director or equivalent role in a high-growth, technically complex environment
• Deep expertise in Unreal Engine (ideally UE5), with a strong background in tooling, UI systems, and content creation workflows
• Demonstrated success in building and scaling multidisciplinary engineering teams
• A strong technical foundation combined with business acumen and product awareness
• Comfortable operating at executive level, aligning engineering strategy with broader company priorities
• Knowledge of XR pipelines and real-time 3D environments is highly desirable
• Strong network within the Unreal Engine and developer community
