As a talented Technical Designer, you will work with the team-building systems that enable and encourage creative play for users. You may specialise in a certain discipline or skill, but you will have a broad interest in design and creativity. While you will help build specific experiences, tools, and capabilities, your ultimate goal will be to create a place where users amaze you with the experiences they have created.
In your first few weeks in this Technical Designer role, you can expect to:
- Design a core system, brainstorm with teammates, collect and make coherent ideas and present them to the rest of the team
- Take a promising "C+" quality prototype the company believes in and work with the team to iterate it to an A (or A+!)
- Explore other relevant products and distil learnings and ideas for the company to consider
- Constantly use the software, understanding what is there and giving feedback on the highest value improvements
To apply for this technical design job, you will need a creative and curious mind and a background working on early-stage concepts or experiments. You will also require experience working on products with shared communities, and features focused on user behaviour. In addition, you should have game design experience with either progression/engagement, UX and tools, or World Creation. Comfort with some coding and looking at code is also essential.
