Studio Publicist in Bristol

As the Publicist at this studio in Bristol, you will be fulfilling a key role as you strive to publicise the studio’s work across international and specialist media, committing to strategy and generally acting as the point of contact for all media enquiries. Alongside all of this you will also help to devise and implement publicity campaigns as you span all areas of the studio from corporate to TV and film to branding and a whole lot more. 

This award-winning animation studio creates stunning film, advertising, broadcast and interactive entertainment. With a track record in creating universally-loved animated entertainment, entertaining series, working with huge brands and developing successful character brands across all media, this is a super exciting team to be a part of. 

Studio Publicist responsibilities: 

  • Create the PR strategy to fulfil business objectives 
  • Manage B2B and PR activity for UK, US and other key territories 
  • Write press releases, gather PR and marketing assets to ensure press kits are available for journalists 
  • Pitch ideas to editors and journalists to make recommendations for opportunities and engagements 
  • Be the studio point of contact for press enquiries 
  • Be the point of contact for press and publicity 
  • Manage PR agencies and be the point of contact for UK and US PR agencies 
  • Hold control over the social budget as well as for PR activity and events 
  • Oversee events and screenings 
  • Attend press events 

Essential requirements for this role in Bristol: 

  • Significant prior experience in a publicity role either in-house or agency 
  • Experience managing talented for TV and public appearances 
  • Understanding of the media landscape 
  • Experience writing press releases 
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and diplomacy 
  • Proficient in MS Office and Photoshop
