Skillsearch is helping a games studio find an enthusiastic and self-motivated Software Engineer to join a Singapore-based team on a remote basis within Asia. This full-time role offers an attractive salary and benefits package. 

The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and implementing systems and game code. 

In your first few weeks in this Software Engineer role, you can expect to: 

  • Work with designers, artists and other personnel involved in the development process as required to create the highest possible quality product 
  • Help to develop technical design specifications and implement them 
  • Test and refine gameplay features throughout the development cycle of the project 
  • Estimate tasks and deliver high-quality code to that schedule. 

To apply for this Software Engineer role, you will need to be proficient in C/C++ and have a year of experience working in the video games industry. You will also require the following: 

  • Experience working on game engines such as Unreal and Unity 
  • Knowledge of industry-standard development practices such as source control, asset pipelines, issue tracking, external QA and localisation teams 
  • Exposure to post-launch ongoing product development and delivery 
  • Continuous integration, build automation experience, art packages and pipeline development experience.
