Requirements

• Understanding of basic systems administration such as AWS, Linux-based systems, MySQL, etc
• Knowledge of HTTP, TCP/UDP and serialisation formats (JSON, XML)
• Experience in a similar role and leading team
• Able to lead in a small team environment, collaborating with engineers of other disciplines to solve engineering problems

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining modern web applications including frontend and backend system development.
• Maintaining multiple systems based on existing codebases, accepting connections from remote embedded devices, and storing data in a database. Mostly using a PHP Symfony/Silex based bespoke code
• Designing and developing frontend web/hybrid mobile applications using technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Cordova, Angular, Angular JS, etc.
• Developing other systems in system-programming languages such as Python including server monitoring and reliability
