Remote Social Media & Community Manager

As a Social Media & Community Manager at this studio, you will be working fully remotely in your efforts to build and share messaging across channels, build a community of creators and then manage this community once the title is released taking a hands-on approach to doing all you can to get people excited! 

With backing from hugely successful video game pioneers, this organisation is in the midst of developing a new disruptive platform. They’re currently working on building their team of talent, with the opportunity to work fully remotely and take on high responsibility positions as they continue to grow. 

Social Media & Community Manager responsibilities: 

  • Create and schedule social content to support marketing campaigns 
  • Build example content and user guides for the platform 
  • Promote content and build a creative community through livestreaming 
  • Create engaging content around contractors’ work 
  • Monitor community activity in all channels 
  • Track channel metrics and performance 
  • Monitor and report on press coverage 
  • Research on competing projects 
  • Reach out to influencers to get them excited about the products 

Key requirements for this remote role: 

  • Significant prior professional experience in a marketing or community role 
  • Experience building a social media following from the ground up 
  • Great written and verbal communication skills 
  • Understanding of marketing and community management principles 
  • Knowledge of the entertainment industry 
  • Able to use graphic and video tools to create supporting marketing materials for social media
