Are you an experienced Senior Enterprise Content & Collaboration Lead with expertise in SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Liferay and enterprise digital workplace platforms?
This is a contract opportunity to lead the architecture, governance and modernization of enterprise content management, collaboration and AI‑powered knowledge platforms within a global organisation. You will drive strategic technology initiatives across Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Azure, Liferay, Enterprise Search and Microsoft Copilot, ensuring secure, scalable and user‑centric solutions that support business transformation and operational excellence.
About the role
You will provide both strategic and technical leadership across the organisation's enterprise content, collaboration and knowledge management platforms. Working closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership and external vendors, you will define platform roadmaps, oversee application development projects and guide the evolution of modern workplace technologies.
This role combines enterprise architecture, solution design, governance and programme leadership, with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies, enterprise content management and AI‑enabled search capabilities.
What you'll do
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of SharePoint, Microsoft 365 and Liferay application projects from requirements through deployment and operational handover
- Define and maintain technology roadmaps for collaboration, intranet, document management and records management platforms
- Design, implement and modernise Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online solutions
- Provide technical leadership for Enterprise Search, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions and Microsoft Copilot initiatives
- Support architecture and integration efforts across Microsoft Azure services
- Advise business leaders, stakeholders and technical teams on platform strategy, technology choices and implementation approaches
- Oversee vendor‑delivered solutions, upgrades, migrations and technical governance activities
- Develop architecture standards, design documentation and knowledge transfer processes
- Support technology governance and digital transformation initiatives through stakeholder engagement and strategic planning
- Contribute to executive presentations, technology proposals and governance committee reviews
- Drive continuous improvement across the enterprise content and collaboration ecosystem
What we're looking for
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise application development, solution architecture or enterprise collaboration platforms
- Extensive experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online and enterprise content management solutions
- Proven experience leading large‑scale application development and platform modernisation projects
- Experience managing vendors, technical teams and enterprise technology programmes
- University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
Skills
- Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online administration, governance and architecture
- Strong understanding of enterprise content management, document management and intranet platforms
- Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) development
- Hands‑on experience with Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI
- Strong Microsoft Azure architecture knowledge covering identity, integration, security, hosting and automation
- Experience developing technical roadmaps, governance models and enterprise architecture standards
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and business audiences
Nice to have
- Experience with Liferay platform architecture and administration
- Experience with Enterprise Search technologies including Elasticsearch and semantic search
- Knowledge of vector search, retrieval systems and RAG‑based AI applications
- Hands‑on experience administering Microsoft Copilot environments
- Microsoft certifications in Microsoft 365, Azure, Enterprise Architecture or related disciplines
