As a Server Lead Programmer at this studio in London, you will be joining the code team in developing and enhancing online systems for games, including working on task coordination, developing services, making key decisions and managing and mentoring a team of programmers.

Server Lead Programmer key responsibilities: 

  • Develop reliable online services for games 
  • Manage key decisions on server side architecture 
  • Provide advice to the team regarding server side issues 
  • Build and manage a team of programmers 
  • Plan and organise tasks 
  • Coordinate tasks and implementation 
  • Mentor junior team members 

Essential requirements for this role in London: 

  • Professional game programming experience 
  • Have worked on one or more shipped game 
  • Able to organise a team of programmers 
  • Working knowledge of C++, NodeJS, SQL/NoSQL, Docker and orchestration software 
  • Experience designing around databases 
  • Knowledge of client-server model, analytics, third party integrations, game API design and load balancing 
  • Strong grasp of user generated content

Aside from the Tube, London offers buses, river buses, black cabs, ‘Boris Bikes’ and trams, so getting around the city should never be a problem!
