Skillsearch is looking for a talented and experienced Senior VFX Artist to join our client's inclusive, multicultural team of driven and talented professionals. This full-time VFX artist remote role is across Canada and offers a favourable salary and benefits.
You'll be working for a modern indie-style studio with a relaxed atmosphere working on high-budget AAA games.
If you were already in this VFX Artist role, here are some of the areas you would have been working in this week:
- Creating high-quality real-time visual FX for characters, environments and gameplay
- Helping refine the VFX pipeline, optimising visual effects for performance
- Working closely with other departments while creating and implementing VFX assets
To apply for this VFX Artist role, you will need 4+ years of experience in the gaming industry and experience creating a wide variety of game-ready visual effects. You will also require the following:
- Outstanding creativity, attention to detail and a very strong commitment to a project
- Good attitude towards receiving feedback and exchanging knowledge
- Experience in Photoshop or similar 2D software
- Good general knowledge of Maya (or 3ds Max)
- SideFX Houdini knowledge (a big plus)
