Are you an experienced Senior UI Technical Designer looking for a new opportunity where you can make a real impact? Skillsearch is helping a AAA Studio in Oxford find a Senior UI Technical Designer to help work on a well-known IP. This full-time UI role comes with a compelling salary and benefits.
Your job will be to set up a new project, create the core UI systems for that project and work with UI designers and UI artists to overcome complex, interesting UI challenges. You will also be mentoring and helping with skills development across the UI team. Remote working options are available for this role.
Some of the day-to-day duties you can expect to take on as Senior UI Technical Designer include:
- Being the point of contact in a visual scripting toolset––creating core UI systems for an unannounced project
- Implementing the most complex UI features yourself, adding your own ideas to help drive toward quality
- Building components that can be used by the rest of the UI team to implement complex UI designs
- Mentoring and supporting UI designers, artists and technical designers
- Working with technical artists and tools programmers to actively improve the toolset for the UI team
Technical UI experience on at least one console or PC title is required to apply. We are looking for a UI Technical Designer with experience planning, implementing, and sharing core UI elements for use by other UI designers, as well as the following technical knowledge:
- Experience using node-based visual scripting editors
- Experience implementing responsive layouts
- Experience profiling and optimising to improve runtime performance
