Senior UI Artist

Do you have graphic design experience, and are you seeking a new job in Oxford? Skillsearch is helping a gaming studio find a Senior UI Artist to work on AAA IP hybrid working, and the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package.  

Your role is to produce intuitive, stylish and cutting-edge user interface experiences and ensure that the integration of the work is in line with the project’s technical constraints and artistic direction. 

In your first week in this Senior UI Artist role, you can expect to: 

• Work with the UI Designer to create art for 2D front-end game interfaces and in-game display HUDs 
• Work to a functional and aesthetic brief, within technical constraints, adapting to different art styles 
• Create, design and implement both static and animating 2D elements 
• Create UI prototypes and ensure the technical and artistic quality of the project by collaborating with UI Designers and Senior UI Artists. 

To apply for this Senior UI Artist role, you will need good knowledge of Photoshop or other 2D packages, good knowledge of visual scripting and the ability to produce high-quality art assets in our game engine. You will also require the following: 

• Professional knowledge of modern user interface design principles and UI design principles, composition and colour theory 
• Good knowledge and understanding of UI design and the creation of graphic elements and animations 
• Expert core graphic design skills including layout, typography, font formats and colour 
• The ability to edit font design and tweak UI.
