Senior UI Artist in Oxford

This studio is looking for a Senior UI Artist to join them and help grow their diverse and inclusive team. They are a leading developer of games and one of the biggest indie studios in Europe – so you’ll have the chance to work on some crowd-pleasing favourites as well as a range of exciting unreleased titles!

Senior UI Artist key responsibilities: 

  • Work with the rest of the studio to turn the existing game design, art, and UI design into beautiful UI art 
  • Communicate effectively with others to make sure all delivery timeframes are estimated correctly and discussed frequently, especially when any delays arise 
  • Understand that throughout the game development process, technical requirements and therefore designs and art may also need to change. Be willing to embrace these changes and adapt your work as needed 
  • Oversee the design of UI systems that will work cross-platform and provide solutions for various input devices 
  • Work closely with UI Designers to create UI art for 2D game interfaces and HUDs 
  • Create UI prototypes as well as both static and animated 2D elements 

Essential requirements for this role in Oxford: 

  • Impressive portfolio of UI work showcasing modern user interface design and including a range of compositions, colour schemes and art styles 
  • Extensive experience creating art elements and animations 
  • Professional experience using Photoshop and other 2D packages to create UI art and designs 
  • Skilled in a range of graphic design areas such as using layouts, typography and colour to create attractive images 
  • Some experience/knowledge of the games industry is key!
