As a Level Designer, you will develop co-op shooter levels that fit the tone and style of the game, while supporting the player interactions, platforming, and mission needs. You will also work with our code team to find opportunities to increase replayability and variation in our levels, working to refine the rules and exceptions to ensure the player experience comes first.
In your first few weeks in this Level Designer role, you can expect to:
- Plan, execute and refine level layouts in line with the mission objectives and requirements
- Set up mission scenarios, objectives, and mission logic throughout the level
- Implement spawners, interaction points, and other level logic that occur during the playthrough of a level
- Work alongside the art team to help establish the look and feel of the world
To apply for this level design role, you will need a solid understanding of level design fundamentals, familiarity with the Unreal Engine, and familiarity with designing for multiplayer or co-op experiences. You will also require the following:
- Technical proficiency in scripting or blueprints
- Interest in procedural generation
