Skillsearch is helping a games studio find an experienced Senior Technical Artist to join their talented team of developers! This full-time Senior Technical Artist role, focusing on animation is based in Bellevue, Washington, and offers a generous salary and excellent benefits.
As a Senior Technical Artist, you will drive technical solutions and work with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of art, design, and technology in the studio's games. You'll attend mocap shoots and help support with any technical needs. Outside of shoot days, you’ll help core gameplay with animation graphs and ingest animations into the engine.
In your first few weeks in this Senior Technical Artist role, you can expect to:
- Develop, implement, and maintain mocap pipelines and tools, both in-engine and externally
- Work with animators and engineers to integrate animation content into the gameplay systems
- Mentor, guide, and share knowledge with other technical artists on the team
- Provide technical support during the shoots and design, architect and maintain animation graphs in the engine.
To be considered for this role, you must have professional game development experience as a Senior Technical Artist, or equivalent, with an understanding of both Technical Art and Character Animation. You will also need:
- Working knowledge of Unreal Engine, as well as Motion Builder and Maya
- Experience with Unreal Engine Animation Graph
- An understanding of Mocap, to be able to assist during mocap shoots
- Well-versed in gameplay animation system and modern animation techniques.
