Skillsearch is looking for a skilled and collaborative Senior Technical Artist with solid experience in character, shaders and VFX pipelines to join our client's inclusive team. This full-time Technical Artist role is based in Villeurbanne and offers an attractive salary and benefits. 

As a flexible Senior Technical Artist, you will anticipate the technical needs of productions. You will also respond to these technical needs and opt for the appropriate technical solutions. 

To give you an idea of how this Senior Technical Artist role would look and feel, here are some things you could expect to do: 

  • Establish pipelines and cut and estimate tasks 
  • Create and develop artistic tools 
  • Develop and optimise shaders and VFX 
  • Create complete rigs and skins according to projects 
  • Document the different pipelines and tools you develop  

To succeed in this Technical Artist job, you must have at least 5 years of experience as a Tech Artist or demonstrable equivalent experience. You will also require console experience at Tech Art and should have knowledge of the Substance, Houdini or Spine Suite. In addition, you should have expertise in creation pipelines of 2D/3D cartoon characters and creating shaders and VFX. Familiarity with Maya and Unity and a good understanding of programming languages, mainly Python, JavaScript, MEL and optionally C#, are also essential.
