Senior Technical Artist in Toronto

We’re looking for a Technical Artist with plenty of experience shipping games to join a Toronto-based studio in working towards their new games franchise for consoles and PC. As a Senior Technical Artist within the team, you will be responsible for collaborating teams across disciplines and aligning different teams needs and efforts.

This studio is a leading independent games studio in Toronto, finding success in all games they have released to date across almost a decade and are looking for talented individuals to join them on their new gaming adventure. Technical Artist responsibilities:

  • Work with the art team to make art creation more efficient with amazing tools
  • Bridge the gap between artists and programmers
  • Optimise performance of visual systems across platforms
  • Be a key member of the team
  • Understand prioritising of project creation
  • Help artists and programmers do their job more efficiently

Essential Requirements for this role in Toronto:

  • Experience shipping games
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine 4
  • Able to collaborate across disciplines
  • Familiar with every process involved in a game from idea to shipping the title
  • Be a self-starter, don’t wait around to be given directions
  • Be an excellent communicator
  • Align with the studio’s values
