Our client is looking to recruit a Senior Technical Animator who can aid them in their mission. This full-time Senior Technical Animation role is based in Amsterdam and comes with a generous salary and benefits.
As a Senior Technical Animator, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to steer the implementation of engaging game features and systems for groundbreaking VR games and experiences. You will create custom rigs, scripts and tools to streamline the animation workflow and pipeline.
In your first few weeks in this Senior Technical Animator role, you can expect to:
- Set up animation and character blueprints and tweak blend trees to animation perfection
- Work with and advise the animators, character artists, game designers and programmers
To apply for this Senior Technical Animator role, you will need expertise in rigging and skinning, advanced knowledge of scripting languages in Maya (Python and MEL), and experience with facial animation and cinematic pipelines. You will also require the following:
- Experience with ART in Maya and Unreal Engine 4
- Affinity and experience with VR games
- Experience implementing, setting up and tweaking animations in a game engine (Unreal Engine 4 preferred)
- Ability to work with both hand-keyed and motion-captured animations
