Are you an experienced Technical Artist ready to take on a challenging role in a dynamic game development environment? We’re looking for a Senior Technical Artist to join our client’s team in Brno. This position offers the chance to work on exciting projects, optimise workflows, and push the boundaries of what’s possible in Unreal Engine.

Your Mission:

  • Pipeline Optimisation: Create, improve, and maintain efficient workflows and content pipelines to streamline production.
  • Technical Support: Assist artists, designers, and other team members by developing tools, setting conventions, and troubleshooting technical issues in Unreal Engine.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with environment artists, shader developers, lighting experts, and VFX artists, ensuring the team is well-versed in asset pipelines and optimisation techniques.
  • Performance Enhancement: Identify and rectify art asset inefficiencies, working with engineers and artists to optimise game performance.
  • Shader Development: Write and maintain performance shaders that align with the game’s visual goals.
  • Problem Solving: Remove blockers and provide solutions that empower artists to produce high-quality content efficiently.

Who Will Fit In:

  • Unreal Engine Expertise: Extensive experience with Unreal Engine, with at least one full production cycle completed.
  • Optimisation Skills: Strong understanding of performance optimisation techniques.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with industry-standard software such as 3ds Max, Blender, Substance Painter, Photoshop, etc.
  • Art Pipeline Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of the Unreal 5 Engine art pipeline and a solid understanding of PBR principles and material editors.
  • Innovation: A passion for pushing Unreal Engine capabilities further.
