Senior Tech Artist

Skillsearch is looking for a Senior Tech Artist to join a busy gaming studio. This full-time remote role offers a favourable salary and benefits and the chance to work with one of the best studios in the world. 

In this Senior Technical Artist role, you will bring your engineering experience and artistic sensitivity to help the art and engineering folks align on goals, improve the current content creation pipeline and provide the tools and framework needed.  

In your first few weeks in this Technical Artist role, you can expect to: 

• Understand existing systems and tools, and prototype and implement new ones 
• Create 3D assets, and help design how others will do so 
• Provide Rust programming in the custom in-house game engine 
• Provide 3D pipeline tools (asset management, performance testing, asset validation and processing) 

Ideally, you will have experience creating 3D pipeline tools (asset management, performance testing, asset validation and processing). The following are also required: 

• Experience with profiling and optimisation techniques 
• Knowledge of basic real-time graphics pipeline concepts 
• Experience making 3D assets 
• Programmer skills, including Rust, C/C++ and high-level scripting in Python and Go.
