As Senior Technical Artist, you will collaborate with multiple disciplines in project fantasy, to capture and immerse players through your technical magic. You will also collaborate with other Technical Artists, artists, and programmers to ensure that Houdini-based pipelines are optimised and integrated efficiently into the company's engine. 

To give you an idea of how this Technical Artist role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do: 

  • Troubleshoot issues and offer creative solutions to technical problems that arise during production 
  • Stay up to date with the latest software and techniques and incorporate them into the production pipeline 
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other artists in the team. 

To apply for this Technical Artist role, you will need proficiency in Houdini software and its related workflows, with a focus on creating visual effects and simulations. You will also require the following: 

  • Experience developing tools and pipelines using Houdini's in a game engine 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to diagnose technical issues and provide efficient solutions 
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and experience with using them
