As a Senior Software Engineer at this studio in Vancouver, you will be working alongside a talented team, contributing to code, building solutions, fixing problems, mentoring junior team members, and loads more!
This studio works on unique VR and AR projects, and with some hugely successful games behind them, with some globally known IP, they now have an exciting new sci-fi VR title in the works! Senior Software Engineer responsibilities:
- Work on high quality code, features, and enhancements for games
- Work through the project lifecycle to deliver high quality games through building solutions
- Mentor a team of engineers to improve the technical team and process
- Create frameworks and libraries to be used across different VR games
- Solve issues related to different gaming platforms to ensure games are fully functional
- Deal with bug fixes and system crashes
- Understand and refine design intentions
- Learn new technologies and systems
Key requirements for this role in Vancouver:
- Significant professional experience working with Unreal Engine 4
- Significant professional industry experience in a similar role
- Have worked on shipped PC or console games
- Have worked on one or more high quality PC or console title
- Skilled in C++ and Blueprints
- Experience with Agile and Scrum project management principles
- Skilled in JIRA, Perforce, Slack, Confluence
- Understanding of algebra and 3D maths
