As a Senior Rendering Programmer at this studio in Amsterdam, you will be taking on a multi-faceted role where you will focus on creating technical designs, work on studio pipelines and mentor less experienced programmers, just to name a few of your accountabilities!
This multi-platform VR studio is made up of industry veterans and is home to a growing portfolio of VR games, offering a unique experience to players at home and outside of it. Senior Rendering Programmer responsibilities:
- Ensure engine changes fit the codebase
- Ensure all projects benefit from sharable technology
- Create technical designs and efficient implementations of engine systems
- Ensure game performance is always at the front of your mind to keep games running smoothly
- Work on studio pipelines
- Create new graphical features
- Analyse and debug problems
- Guide and mentor less experienced programmers
Essential requirements for this role in Amsterdam:
- Experience working on the low-level side of game engines (ideally UE4) to create features or functionality to be used in games
- Experience setting up your own engine would be ideal
- Experience writing engine adjustments or engine parts in C++
- Experience with Unreal Engine 4
- Experience working with VR would be a huge bonus
