As a Senior Porting Programmer at this studio in Malmo, you will be on a mission to transform established games onto mobile platforms, working closely with other disciplines to oversee all technical aspects of the product including optimisation, concessions and platform specific integrations.
This small but rapidly growing team are passionate about every game in their portfolio and with their newly opened Malmo site, they’re looking for a team to build it from the ground up, with the backing of a thriving indie studio and publisher.
Senior Porting Programmer responsibilities:
- Oversee all technical aspects involved in adapting games from other platforms to be published on mobile platforms
- Implement and support game systems in C++
- Ensure game features are optimised and run smoothly on mobile devices
- Work with different platforms to ensure it complies with platform specific certification
- Develop pipelines to build the game for different platforms
- Mentor junior members of the team
Key requirements for this role in Malmo:
- Significant prior experience as a Game Programmer/Engineer
- Experience developing and releasing games on mobile platforms
- Strong understanding of game optimisation for mobile devices
- Deep understanding of Unreal Engine
- Strong C++ skills
- Experience with continuous integration
