As a Senior Multiplayer Network Programmer in our Copenhagen or Malmö studio, you will be responsible for the development of the network layer. You will be working on a brand-new title and concept that will continue the immersive player interaction. You will be consolidating the engines networking capabilities and create a new level of gaming!

This team are currently working on the development of some world-famous IP which is loved by millions. Requirements

  • Previous role as an engine, software, or multiplayer/network programmer, with AAA experience
  • Strong knowledge of C/C++ and of network protocols, major APIs, and libraries
  • Well-versed in anything multiplayer-related tech such as: firewall traversal, data compression and encryption, distributed algorithms, mesh topologies, objects replication, prediction models, latency compensation and anti-cheating
  • Experience in navigating and integrating new technologies into large existing codebases
  • A degree in computer science or another related field or the equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Extending the technology of the in-house engine with multiplayer capabilities, designing, and implementing the network/multiplayer software stack for the engine and any in-house games that need to support multiplayer
  • Helping to mentor and inspire the other members of the team to achieve high level AAA multiplayer functionality
  • You will also work closely with the engine team to co-develop the object replication layer and collaborating with the AI and gameplay teams to define and implement network-aware features, workflows, and set-ups
  • Sharing the responsibilities with the online team to create, run and monitor the game servers and backend infrastructure
