Are you an experienced Unreal Engine Rendering Programmer with strong C++ and GPU programming expertise, ready to help deliver a world-class RPG?

We’re supporting a leading AAA studio developing its next major role-playing game in Unreal Engine and looking for experienced programmers to collaborate with artists and designers to realise the game’s artistic and technical vision.

About the role...

As a Rendering / Graphics Programmer, you’ll work at the intersection of art and technology — building tools, shaders, and rendering systems that bring the game’s visual vision to life across PC and console platforms.

You’ll be responsible for performance optimisation, memory management, and developing scalable rendering solutions that meet quality targets without compromising stability or frame rate.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate closely with artists and designers to achieve the visual goals of the project
  • Develop and maintain tools and pipelines that empower the art team
  • Author shaders, rendering features, and visual effects
  • Analyse and optimise performance and memory usage across target platforms
  • Profile, debug, and improve GPU and CPU performance
  • Research and propose improvements to rendering processes, pipelines, and technology
  • Contribute to scalable, multi-threaded systems that support modern game development

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of professional game development experience on PC and consoles
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++
  • Experience with DirectX, HLSL, and GPU programming
  • Solid understanding of real-time rendering techniques and graphics pipelines
  • Experience with Unreal Engine
  • Experience with multi-threaded programming
  • Strong performance analysis, optimisation, and debugging skills
  • Strong mathematics skills relevant to graphics and rendering
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • A passion for games and game technology

Nice to have:

  • Experience shipping AAA titles
  • Familiarity with modern rendering APIs and hardware trends
  • Experience building internal tools for artists and technical art teams

What’s on offer:

  • Competitive base salary within the advertised range
  • Opportunity to work on a large-scale RPG with an experienced AAA team
  • Collaborative environment with strong cross-discipline integration
  • Inclusive workplace committed to diversity and equal opportunity

If you’re a rendering-focused programmer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and enabling artists to achieve stunning visual results in Unreal Engine, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now, or email Ryan Templeman - rt@skillsearch.com
