Senior Gameplay Programmer in Edinburgh

As a Senior Gameplay Programmer at this studio in Edinburgh, you will be taking on a proactive role of designing and implementing gameplay systems, providing technical support, and mentoring junior team members. Senior Gameplay Programmer key responsibilities:

  • Deliver gameplay systems using abstraction
  • Identify and solve technical problems efficiently
  • Plan and manage time of assigned tasks
  • Define technical direction
  • Create solutions for gameplay problems
  • Mentor junior members of the team

Essential requirements for this role in Edinburgh:

  • Excellent C++ programming skills
  • Experience of programming on gameplay systems
  • Have worked on one or more shipped AAA PC/console game
  • University degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science/Software Engineering – or the equivalent in experience
  • Algorithm and data structure skills
  • Understanding of multi-threading primitives
  • Able to read complex code
