Our client is looking for a skilled and collaborative Lead Programmer to join an inclusive team in Toronto. This full-time Lead Programming role comes with a favourable salary, many excellent benefits and the chance to work in a prime Toronto location. 

As a Lead Programmer, you will direct and manage a programming team at technical and personnel levels. You will also provide an estimated time to complete programming tasks and be committed to meeting them. You'll help set up best coding practices and conduct regular code reviews. 

In your first few weeks in this Lead Programmer role, you can expect to: 

  • Encourage and help guide the creation of technical design documents 
  • Set up a process to review the game on a regular intervals during the development cycle and identify areas of improvement 
  • Collaborate directors, designers and production to ensure efficient development practices 

To apply for this role, you will need proficiency in C++ and at least 5 years of professional video game programming experience. You will also require the following: 

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineers, or equivalent 
  • Previous leadership/mentorship experience or leadership interest and potential 
  • Good knowledge of programming languages and software engineering practices 
  • Experience developing AAA titles on multiple console platforms 
  • Experience in unreal 4 or similar engines
