Senior Game Engineer

Are you a technically skilled and passionate Senior Game Engineer ready to shape the future of educational gaming?

Join a creative and fast-growing team working on an exciting new project, the sequel to a successful learning-based action platform game. You’ll play a key role in developing engaging gameplay systems, ensuring every interaction feels smooth, dynamic and rewarding.

What you'll be doing:

• Designing and implementing core gameplay systems, from player interactions and NPC behaviours to physics and world mechanics.
• Collaborating closely with designers, artists, and other engineers to refine game feel and feature performance.
• Building scalable, maintainable systems that support an expanding gameplay experience.
• Identifying opportunities to simplify and optimise existing systems for efficiency and performance.
• Supporting the lead engineer by mentoring junior team members and contributing to technical decision-making.
• Taking ownership of gameplay features from prototype through to final implementation.

What we're looking for:

• At least 6 years of professional game development experience, with a strong background in gameplay programming.
• Excellent knowledge of C# and .NET, with hands-on experience developing in Unity.
• Strong understanding of maths, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience working with Git and large collaborative codebases.
• Solid grasp of programming best practices, optimisation, and performance-aware coding.
• A genuine enthusiasm for gaming, with an interest in systemic game design and emergent gameplay.
