Skillsearch's client is looking for skilled professionals eager to contribute their talents in creating and delivering engaging game content. They are seeking a Senior Game Designer, and the remote role comes with a generous salary and benefits package.
As a Senior Game Designer, you will focus on character design, perfecting the 3Cs (Character, Camera, and Control), and ensuring game features are seamlessly optimised for console platforms.
In your first few weeks in this Senior Game Designer role, you can expect to:
- Design and polish captivating gameplay mechanics, focusing on character design and 3Cs, while ensuring the best performance and user experience on console platforms
- Prototype new heroes and gameplay features, utilising Blueprints and GAS in Unreal Engine, to obtain early player feedback and support quick iterations
- Team up with cross-functional groups to guide features from concept to completion, offering feedback and direction at every stage
- Spot opportunities for enhancing design processes and workflows and implement these improvements alongside development partners.
To apply for this Senior Game Designer role, you will need proven experience with at least one shipped AA+ title in the gaming industry. You will also require the following:
- Expertise designing exceptional gameplay features, including character design, 3Cs design, and familiarity with console and controller gameplay
- In-depth understanding of current gaming trends, focusing on multiplayer titles, particularly shooters and MOBAs
- Experience working in a live-ops environment with continuous updates.
