Senior Game Designer

Do you have game design experience, and are you seeking a new challenge in Prague? Skillsearch is helping a new AAA studio find a full-time Senior Game Designer for an open-world action-adventure game, and the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package. 

As a Senior Game Designer, you will identify, propose, and oversee the implementation and iteration of a broad range of gameplay that expresses the high-level direction of the game. Leveraging your experience, you help to promote progress by acting as a bridge between disciplines and sharing knowledge with fellow team members. 

During your first few weeks in this Senior Game Designer role, you can expect to work in some of the following areas: 

• Work independently and within groups to research, generate, and communicate design concepts 
• Decompose complex designs into succinct, communicable specification documents 
• Oversee the implementation, evaluation, and iteration of gameplay in cooperation with interdisciplinary specialists 
• Contribute to the estimation, planning, and prioritisation of design tasks 
• Identify and communicate risks as they relate to design and cross-discipline requirements/constraints 

The successful Senior Game Designer applicant will have 5+ years of game design experience with experience in a senior role. You will also require the following: 

• Shipped titles in a Game Design (or equivalent) role 
• Experience developing multiplayer open-world/sandbox games 
• Experience with live-ops and games-as-a-service 
• A grasp of two or more domains (3Cs, Combat, Progression, Quest, Narrative, AI, Economy, etc) 
• Ability to decompose design goals into succinct implementation requirements 
• Practical experience using a variety of modern game engines and tools
