As a Senior Game Designer in San Francisco, you will also have the opportunity to work remotely within the US. You will be able to share your knowledge whilst working on fun, immersive games that use blockchain technology which allows players to build their own assets.

This studio is working on an upcoming MMO game, where players can use their assets in game and as NFTs in the web3 universe. The studio itself is full of game veterans from some of the top developers around the world, taking a fun-first approach to using blockchain technology to bring a whole new gaming experience to life. 

Requirements

• Experience as a game designer for a live operated game, having previously shipped games
• Excellent Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets skills as well as PowerPoint
• Strong understanding of mobile, free-to-play and games-as-a-service and of blockchain games, staking and tokenomics
• Monetization design and analytics expertise and a mastery in design theory, core design loops and economy design

Responsibilities

• Working closely with the Game Lead to understand the design goals of the project, crafting the designs to execute those visions, whilst developing design policies and establishing best practices for features and content
• Planning and communicating the game roadmap with the Game Lead to the stakeholders, outlining the requirements to each respective team function
• Keeping up to date with trending and competitive games in the blockchain space and assisting with weekly live ops designs and implementation
• Owning the large feature updates which are targeted toward milestones and digesting the live and historical data to provide proposals on improvements to the game economy, systems, and the user health performance
• Mentoring the junior designers and interns, designing principles and collaborations with other functions such as art
