Skillsearch is helping a games studio find a talented Senior Environment Artist looking for the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects. This full-time role is based in Oxford and offers a favourable salary and benefits package.
You will have the opportunity to join an ambitious team working on multiple projects using different engines including Unreal 5.
In your first week in this Senior Environment Artist role, you can expect to:
- Develop the environment, with consideration of narrative and visual storytelling, while documenting intentions
- Create high-quality environments in tight collaborations with Designers
- Create functional high-quality assets which can be shared across the project in respect of the technical and artistic constraints
- Ensure the technical and artistic quality of the project by collaborating with Technical Artists and other Senior Artists and making changes when necessary.
To apply for this Senior Environment Artist role, you will need advanced knowledge of 3D software such as 3D Studio Max, Maya and Blender. You will also require the following:
- Advanced knowledge of sculpting packages such as Zbrush or Mudbox
- Advanced knowledge of Photoshop or other 2D packages
- The ability to produce high-quality art assets in multiple engines including Unreal
- The skill to translate concept and reference artwork into 3D assets.
