Remote Senior Environment Artist

As a Senior Environment Artist at this studio, you will have the chance to work fully remotely in your efforts to ensure consistent delivery of top-quality content, using your impressive technical skills to make stunning and immersive game environments for players to enjoy. 

This studio is owned by a giant parent company and is working with some of the biggest world-renowned clients around. With studios around the world and some exciting AAA games currently in the pipeline, this is a great time to join the team. 

Senior Environment Artist responsibilities: 

  • Perform art reviews and provide feedback in tracking tools 
  • Ensure overall client satisfaction 
  • Break down large features into individual tasks for the art team 
  • Create and polish 3D assets to meet the desirable quality 
  • Strive to understand client aesthetics 
  • Look after the overall quality of outgoing art assets 
  • Develop estimates, pipelines and production plans 
  • Provide clear and concise feedback of submissions 

Key requirements for this remote role: 

  • Extensive prior industry experience 
  • Have worked on two or more shipped games in a Senior Artist role or similar 
  • Strong knowledge of current-gen game content development processes, tools and pipelines 
  • Skilled in industry tools and technologies such as Maya, Max, Zbrush, Mudbox, Substance, Photoshop, etc. 
  • 3D sculpting, modelling, texturing and material creation skills 
  • Environmental lighting skills in UE4, Unity or similar 
  • Able to produce high quality content using current gen game engines and techniques 
  • Experience in pre-production and planning 
  • Knowledge of PBR and procedural texturing pipelines 
  • University degree or equivalent experience
