Do you have Engine Programming experience, and are you seeking a new job in the UK? Skillsearch is looking for a full-time Senior Engine Programmer for a creative and collaborative team in Glasgow, and the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package. 

You'll be working with a huge IP using Unreal Engine 5. Flexible and remote working options are available. 

As an Engine Programmer, you will oversee the development and maintenance of engine features to support the gameplay and content requirements of the project. This includes: 

  • Debugging and profiling GPU, CPU, and I/O for PC and modern game consoles 
  • Working with the code, design, and content teams to ensure features, tools, and pipelines are efficient, optimised, and well structured 
  • Implementing and maintaining engine code and upgrade processes 

Proficiency in using C++ with Unreal Engine and at least 5 years of professional experience in video game development are required, with at least one shipped title on modern console hardware. You will also need: 

  • Experience debugging CPU/GPU/Console hardware performance 
  • Experience optimising engine-level code for improved performance and stability 
  • Interest in low-level, cross-platform, and graphics programming
