As Concept Artist at our client, you will be a creative force driving our vision for a new science-fiction universe. Collaborating closely with the Creative Director and Art Director, you will explore visual ideas that will define the IP, and then develop those ideas from sketches to polished pieces ready to be used in production. Initial work will involve ideation on the fundamentals of the setting, and later the role will transition to defining game-specific concepts.

In your first few weeks in this concept artist role, you can expect to:

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and Art Director to explore and establish the visual aesthetic of a new science-fiction IP, through sketches, concepts, and look development
  • Bring creative ideas and an ability to polish them to high quality, through sophisticated art techniques in lighting, composition, materials, and rendering methods
  • Participate in story, game, and design discussions, and help explore new ideas through sketching and rough concepts that quickly illustrate different possibilities
  • Seek and respond to feedback from other team members

To apply for this concept artist role, you will need 3+ years of experience in video games, TV, or film. You will also require the following:

  • A portfolio showcasing your experience with sci-fi concepts of characters, objects, and environments
  • A passion for science fiction and a talent for producing original creative ideas
