Do you have Character Art experience, and are you seeking a new fully remote role in Europe? Skillsearch is helping a collaborative company recruit a Character Artist, and the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package.  

As a flexible Character Artist, you will work closely with the animation, design, and programming team to ensure the character art meets the game design needs. 

In your first few weeks in this Character Artist role, you can expect to: 

  • Work closely with the animation, design, and programming team to ensure the character art meets the game design needs 
  • Communicate the visual design of the characters through art specifications, style guides, and reference material 
  • Sculpt realistic high-resolution characters 
  • Create clean game topology, UVs and textures 

To apply for this Character Artist role, you will need a minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Character Artist. You will also require the following: 

  • Experience working on at least one realistic-style AAA title 
  • Proven ability across all aspects of character modelling, including anatomical, cloth, and hard-surface modelling 
  • Extensive knowledge of 3D packages, preferable Maya 
  • Advanced sculpting skills using ZBrush 
  • Experience with Substance Painter (or Mari)
