As a Senior Character Artist at this studio in Edinburgh, you will be responsible for championing game characters and applying your technical knowledge to populate the game world with impressive high-quality 3D characters, including both clothing and props.

This cutting-edge studio is working on a brand-new ground-breaking game which is highly anticipated, so it is a great time to join the team. It is important to note that this role is fully remote currently due to the Coronavirus pandemic but will be moving onsite to the studio in Edinburgh once it is safe to do so.

Senior Character Artist responsibilities:

• Work with the Lead Character Artist to create high resolution 3D characters, as well as clothing and props
• Ensure all assets meet the technical and artistic requirements
• Create assets to serve as guidance for other team members
• Iterate on 3D assets with in-house and external artists
• Mentor junior members of the art team
• Implement feedback and review final characters

Essential requirements for this role in Edinburgh:

• Prior experience of creating AAA character assets
• Experience of creating textures using PBR workflows
• Experience with texture authoring tools
• Significant professional experience as a Character Artist in the games industry
• Experience with 3D tools such as Maya, Zbrush, Marvelous Designer, or similar
