Senior C++ Programmer in Falmouth

As a Senior C++ Programmer at this studio in beautiful Cornwall, you will be bringing your expert knowledge to touch all aspect of their first-person shooter game, with the potential to also work on some exciting new unannounced projects…

This award-winning studio in Falmouth creates highly successful first-person shooter games. They are proudly Cornish and focus on giving their team members a great work-life balance so they’re able to enjoy everything the county has to offer. Senior C++ Programmer responsibilities:

  • Translate features from designers into efficient code
  • Explore game ideas by producing prototypes
  • Implement technical aspects of games such as networking, animation, effects, UI, etc.
  • Assess and solve performance issues within the existing codebase
  • Analyse and improve core technology and tools
  • Act as a technical expert in providing support and feedback

Key requirements for this role in Falmouth:

  • Experience of working on one or more shipped PC/console game with credits for engine or graphics
  • Expert C++ and systems design skills
  • Experienced with UE4 programming on published games
  • Knowledge of engine low-level systems such as graphics, physics and networking
  • University degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science
  • Experience of one or more graphics API
  • Experience of cross-platform development
  • Experience with JIRA and/or Agile software development
