Senior Multiplayer Gameplay Programmer

We are looking for a Senior Multiplayer Gameplay Programmer to join a team of games-passionate individuals at a studio in Brighton. The studio boasts a creative environment, encouraging team members to have their say so they truly impact all of the games they put out, everyone’s contributions are acknowledged.

As a Senior Multiplayer Gameplay Programmer, you will be creating the studio’s next generation of games, using the most up-to-date technology, so you will always be on top of your game. To be successful in this high responsibility role, you should be interested in building great products alongside a great team and have a desire to reach millions of people around the world with the work you create.

Senior Multiplayer Gameplay Programmer responsibilities:

  • Work with design and engineering teams to create the studio’s next generation of games
  • Write testable and efficient software
  • Always ensure the quality of your work is kept extremely high
  • Collaborate with team members to improve the software you create
  • Always strive to be the best you can be and learn new skills

Key requirements for this role in Brighton:

  • Solid background working on successful games
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of Unreal
  • Understanding of algorithms, debugging and performance optimisation
  • Knowledge of backend infrastructure
  • Understanding of running servers on a large scale
  • Able to mentor a team and share your knowledge to help junior team members to progress

He represented his county at rugby for every age group from 12 onwards which no doubt helped him to cultivate his excellent understanding of team dynamics. Giles is known for his warmth and willingness to take time to work through any issues that may arise, although make sure you don’t try and share his food as then you won’t be getting a warm welcome – Giles doesn’t share food!
