As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will work to deliver backend services that support live games and internal tools. You will be assisting a team of developers to deliver live services for titles using UE5.
In your first week in this role, you can expect to:
- Plan, research and architect new services based on priorities from stakeholders
- Work with Design and Network teams to turn feature designs into robust, scalable geolocated services and tools
- Provide technical leadership by establishing and maintaining best practices across the team
- Proactively identify and resolve issues in production and development environments.
To apply for this Senior Backend Engineer role, you will need experience with a Cloud provider such as PlayFab/Azure/GCP/AWS. You will also need:
- Expertise in one server-side language and framework
- Proven experience building and running scalable, maintainable and robust microservices
- Working knowledge of technologies such as Nginx, MySQL, Redis, ElasticSearch, Prometheus, Docker and Kubernetes
- Previous games industry experience and working knowledge of C++ would be advantageous.
