Senior Audio Programmer

Skillsearch is helping a gaming studio find a talented Senior Audio Programmer to join their team in Copenhagen, Malmö, Barcelona, Istanbul and Brighton. The role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package. 

As a Senior Audio Programmer, you will assist in developing a state-of-the-art propriety game development engine. Your closest partners will be the Audio Programmers, CoreEngine, and sound design teams. 

In your first few weeks in this Senior Audio Developer role, you can expect to: 

• Work in-engine, improving, prioritising and optimising runtime code 
• Work on audio development and systems: workflows, tooling and developing audio systems, by working individually and in collaboration with the Audio Programmer 
• Maintain, optimise and improve existing systems 
• Work closely with sound designers to help them create a top-notch audio experience. 

To apply for this Senior Audio Programmer role, you will need at least five years of work experience programming as a C++ programmer, preferably on 3D audio. You will also require the following: 

• Experience with Wwise, FMod, or other audio middleware 
• Experience writing runtime and memory-efficient code, debugging and maintaining complex software systems 
• Understanding of game engines, gameplay programming concepts and audio content creation 
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering or related.
